With my colleagues, David ALPHAND and Pierre-Yves BOURNAZEL , we introduced two wishes for the Council of Paris to change the behavior of elected officials in the interests of fairness, justice and transparency. Change time and fight against the unfair advantages are a necessity to restore the confidence of the French who is asked to do a lot of effort in these times of crisis.
A first wish invites the Council of Paris to give its full support for pension reform initiated by the government of Nicolas Sarkozy and François Fillon participating in an overhaul of the pension system for elected councilors in Paris before 1992 that benefit currently-taxing their pensions . Through our initiative, the government decided to establish a working group comprising representatives of Bercy, the Ministry of Interior and elected to deconstruct this exemption and to propose changes.
A second wish is to ask Mayor of Paris of 10% reduction in operating expenses of his office and those of his assistants as soon as possible.
We have not been heard! Not easy to change especially when the era harder to convince are those of our own group!
