slipway 
Every 5 years, the barges will freshen up the slipway de Gerland (Lyon).
Slipway: literal English slippery path. System to raise the boat out of water, through the gates on rails.
was the case this August 4 for Balthazar.
work when mounted on the slipway:
- hull cleaning: before it was hand scraping, now, with washers (high) pressure, it's really easy ! To Balthazar, society Hydris Lyon who conducted the cleanup.
- inspection and survey of the bottom (possibly doubling welds if the hull has areas of less than 4mm thick) and installation of new anode (called "sacrifices" by the sailors), they concentrate after corrosion currents and low limits the corrosion of the hull.
NB: Balthazar no need for this because the new date back only 10 years.
- drying (overnight)
- painting the hull. Balthazar, we opted for a bituminous paint green brand "International". There is also Hydris who spent the mandatory two-layer paint gun.
- painting the superstructure. during the 24 hours required for drying the paint of the hull, Balthazar has been repainted in its original blue (paint Zolpafer home Zolpan)
- back down the slipway, the 3 rails hiding 1m each cleaning and painting, barge has fallen, and then withdrawn slightly before go back to clean and paint the areas under the rails
- dry and starting
total time (with a good team and not lazy!): 4 days
cost: 5000 Euros (without major repair)
